While eagerly anticipating the arrival of my CNC building blocks, I've started securing the various parts I believe I'll need to create something great (basic CNC machine):
  • 3/4" MDF + Screws, nuts, bolts, etc
    NEMA23 Motors + Electronics
Computer + Software (CAD + CAM + CNC Control)
    E-Stop Button
    Limit Switches
Couplers (for between the motors and the screws)
    Router Mount
3/8" Bearings to support the ACME Screws
3/4" Shafts for the X and Y axis
3/8" ACME Screws for the X and Y axis
A few questions I'm hoping someone might have an answers to:
  • 1. Do I need a shaft for the Z axis and if so what size?
    2. Do I need an ACME Screw for the Z axis and if so what size?
    3. Is there anything else obvious I'm missing?
Have these questions been answered somewhere else and I'm just missing them? If so, my apologies.

Thanks in advance,

I think you have everything on the list.

I am assuming you got our $150 level reward on the latest Kickstarter?

As for the questions...
