I believe the width is 3", plus 0.25" for the lead screw nut sticking off the side.

I may be mistaken, but know that it is at most 3.25".

I will get you the exact number soon.

Sorry for not getting back sooner.

It is 3.00".. with a 0.25" wide ACME nut. Totaling 3.25" wide.
