The electronics that take the impulses from the computer and make the motors turn.

I have assembled the controller and the 5V touch pad reads correct but the 12V test reads 10.84V. Should this be a concern? The test source was a 12V battery for the time being until my power supply arrives.

Thanks,
Kevin

If you are supplying 12V, the circuit will still try to regulate down to 12V.

If you are already at 12V, this regulation will result in the loss of some of the voltage.

Chances are you are running something like a 11.5V source, and it is losing 0.7 volts.

If you power it with a 12.7V+ source, you will output a near perfect 12V up to the maximum input voltage (40-44V).

Hope that helps. In other words, it is nothing to worry about. It is why we recommend at least 24 volts to power the circuit.

I've double checked all of my components, even comparing visually to the pictures in the installation guide, nothing is out of place. I've checked my solder connections and don't see any bridges or apparent cold solder joints. I've even reheated the joints that didn't look picture perfect.
