I want to make my machine wider and need to wire two motors with one reverse, to one axis since the controller is only 3 axis. Is there a way to do this. I find lots of info about 4, 6 and 8 wire motors and how to do this, but not much on 5 wire motors.

5 wire motors are just 6/8 wire motors with the common wire tied together.

As for the connection. I'd recommend getting another driver board and configure it to go in the opposite direction in your CNC software.
